A CARAVAN CLUB is a group of caravan owners with an interest in meeting regularly at rallies, The advantages of being a member of a caravan club are twofold:
Firstly - Clubs have regular outings so you have the opportunity to use your van for a two, three or four days (or longer) outings and enjoy the companionship of other caravanners.
Secondly - When you settle into a club, you become a member of an extended family. Fellow caravan club members often become firm friends for life.
Therefore, the aim of clubs is to encourage you to use your van regularly, enjoy our natural environment and socialise with friendly people.
Clubs vary in style:
Clubs use a variety of venues, such as caravan parks, sports club ovals, bush settings or areas adjacent to halls for their rally destination.
Some clubs have a marquee for their gatherings and others use halls or camp kitchens at caravan parks for their “Happy Hour” and entertainment. (Every club member couple, needs a folding table and two folding chairs).
Destinations:
During spring and summer the popular club destinations are usually near a beach or resort area, while in winter inland or northern aspects are selected. The area is often chosen for a particular feature, such as beauty, beach, local carnival/festival, etc. A Club Rally is not like a car trial where everyone follows instructions or travels in order. Club rallies are really club outings with all members travelling independently to a pre-arranged location or park.
Some members may go a day or two before the rally officially starts or stay a day or two longer. It’s up to you and your commitments.
Activities/entertainment:
It is usual for the club to arrange activities and entertainment which may be a daytime picnic or tour of the district, maybe disc bowls and, in the evening, a singsong around a campfire, a variety night, a quiz night or card games.
State and National Rallies:
Every two years all the clubs in WA get together for a State Rally, and every three years club members from all over Australia gather for a National Rally hosted by each State in turn. Often lasting interstate friendships are formed here.

Just give the club contact person listed a call with a view to attending a couple of rallies. This way you get to see what happens at a rally and the type of people who are members, before making the decision to join that club. If you are not happy then try another club before committing to membership.
