West Side Caravan club was started way back in 1971 by a group of people who had a common interest in caravanning and a love of the great outdoors. As a club therefore, we have many years of experience to share, and the aim is to be a good social club and encourage good fellowship among all caravanners. We accept members with all types of caravans, camper trailers, and motor homes. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on rallies.
The majority of members are retired or near retirement, which enables us to go away on rallies where and when we want. We encourage our members to use their caravans as often as possible and organise a rally nearly every month. The number that attend is on average about 20 – 25. We tend to avoid school holidays and long weekends. Rallies vary in style and venues may be caravan parks, properties, town sports ovals, national parks or even roving. The latter is when we plan a short trip, moving from one destination to another. The duration may vary from a few days to 2 weeks. Members may arrange a shorter or longer stay, with our booking officer and parks involved. To maintain membership, we ask that members attend at least 3 rallies or functions per year. On rallies we share fun, companionship, entertainment of many sorts, local visits and of course, caravanning knowledge.
We charge a modest joining fee to cover the cost of badges etc. and an annual membership fee. Notice of all conditions and charges can be obtained by contacting the secretary who would love to hear from you. We welcome single members and couples.
WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU.
